We now have around 64 members, with an approximate breakdown as follows:
Sopranos – We currently have approximately 30 sopranos, all ladies
Altos – We currently have approximately 21 altos, all ladies
Tenors – We currently have approximately 6 tenors, a mixture of ladies and gentlemen
Basses – We currently have approximately 5 basses, all gentleman
The Musical Director encourages fluidity between the sections, so it is not uncommon to switch to another section, even if it is just for one song!
So for example, if you start as a Soprano and don’t feel comfortable, it is absolutely OK to switch to Alto or even Tenor.

CHOIR COMMITTEE
The choir is managed by an active committee which is elected from members, by members, annually at the choir Annual General Meeting in March. Any member of the choir can elect to stand for a committee post, and on joining the choir members will be offered information on the structure of the current committee – who is who, and who does what.
The current Chairperson of the choir is Joy, whose responsibility it is to provide overall leadership and direction to the choir.
